What we collect
- Account info: name, email, password (hashed — we never store plaintext)
- Billing info: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number
- Usage data: which features you use, filters applied, properties viewed — used to improve the product
- Alert preferences: counties, price ranges, and criteria you set
What we don't collect
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever
- We do not run ads or allow advertisers to target you
- We do not track you across other websites
How we use your data
- To authenticate you and provide access to your subscription
- To send deal alert emails you have configured
- To process payments via Stripe
- To detect and prevent abuse of our platform
- To improve data quality and features
Property data
The property records we display are sourced from public government websites — county clerk auction platforms and property appraiser sites. This data is already publicly available. We do not add personal information beyond what is in the public record. If you are a property owner who believes information about your property should be corrected, please contact the relevant county agency directly.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active plus 90 days. You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing privacy@foreclosureintel.com.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We conduct regular security reviews and respond promptly to vulnerability reports.
Third parties
- Stripe — payment processing (their privacy policy applies to billing data)
- SendGrid — email delivery (receives your email address to deliver alerts)
- Neon/Railway — infrastructure hosting (your data is stored on their servers)
Your rights
You may request a copy of your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time. Email privacy@foreclosureintel.com and we will respond within 5 business days.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
